JUFL bachelor's programs – each with a biblical and arts & sciences core – include Bible and theology, ministry leadership, teacher education, intercultural studies, couseling, nonprofit management, business, music and worship, and preaching.
Formerly Florida Christian College, Johnson University Florida is part of the Johnson University System and is accredited by SACSCOC and ABHE. JUFL offers bachelor's, master's, Ph.D., and associate's programs across three campuses – in East Tennessee, Central Florida, and online. Each campus reflects the University's mission to equip individuals for Christian ministries and other strategic vocations to extend the kingdom of God.

About Johnson University Florida
Since 1893, Johnson University has been a leader in Christian higher education. The University's flagship campus in Knoxville, Tennessee, was established by Ashley S. Johnson as the “School of the Evangelists” primarily to train preachers. The School was later renamed “Johnson Bible College,” then “Johnson University” as the scope of the School's offerings expanded to include additional strategic vocations to extend the kingdom of God.
Johnson University Florida was founded in 1975 as Central Florida Bible College. In 1985, the College received 40 acres of land in Kissimmee as a donation from the Chapman family. A new campus was constructed on that property, and the College was renamed Florida Christian College. In July of 2013, Florida Christian College merged with Johnson University and was renamed Johnson University Florida.
As part of the Johnson University System , the School remains focused on equipping individuals for Christian ministries and other strategic vocations to extend the kingdom of God. Located in a culturally diverse community just outside Orlando, Johnson University Florida maintains a close-knit family environment and high academic standards across a range of bachelor's programs.
The motto– Strong in the Scriptures – was the motto of Florida Christian College and continues to be a valuable part of Johnson University Florida's heritage and identity to this day.

In order to assure the quality of its programs, the University has earned its reputation as a leader in accreditation among Christian institutions of higher learning. Intimate course settings, with an average 12:1 student-to-professor ratio, provide each student with a personalized educational experience.
The breadth of program offerings helps ensure that graduates are well prepared, either to enter the career field of their choice or to pursue a graduate degree. The highly trained faculty is committed to equipping each student with the skills and resources they will need both for their own spiritual formation and for leading others in ministry.
Each of Johnson's undergraduate programs offers both a biblical core and an arts and sciences core to ensure that students are well-rounded and have a solid biblical foundation for their area of study. The various majors and areas of professional study are housed in eight different schools.
As part of the Johnson University System, JUFL graduates who wish to pursue advanced degrees with the University may do so either on Johnson's Tennessee campus or through the Online campus. Graduate degree programs on campus include areas such as professional counseling, teacher education, and strategic ministry. Online programs include master's degrees in Intercultural Studies and New Testament, as well as a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies.

Connecting is easy in Johnson University Florida's Christ-centered environment. Johnson University Florida is more than a college campus; it's a community. JUFL students often use words like “family” and “home away from home” to describe their college experience.
Since its founding in 1975, the faculty, staff, and students of Johnson University Florida have been committed to developing an atmosphere that values relationship, spiritual formation, tradition, and service. The JUFL campus provides the ideal backdrop for lively fellowship or moments of quiet reflection.
On a typical day, JUFL students may be found in a group study session over coffee in the SUB, hanging out with friends by the pool, competing for the title of best ultimate Frisbee team ever, sharing a meal in the on-campus apartments, or leading devotions by the bonfire. Weekends might include an on-campus concert, a community service event, traveling as part of New Creation or a New Life team, or cheering on one of the Suns athletic teams.
Naturally, the unique culture of Central Florida offers a wealth of leisure activities as well. World-class shopping, world-famous amusement parks, and professional sports teams are only 20 minutes from campus. Additionally, the beautiful Florida coast is just an hour's drive away.
